Employers plan to keep last year’s wage increase rate
13.04.2009
More than 60% of the companies in the country plan to increase the wages this year with the rate from last year, according to a research of the consultancy company AIMS Human Capital Bulgaria. Managers, however, intend to raise the performance requirements and to link financial stimulus and results more tightly. Some 30% plan to freeze the wages or to raise them by much lower rate than last year.
Most of the employers do not plan to increase the number of employees by the middle of the year while 30% plan staff cuts. The survey, run in March, encompasses 100 companies from the following branches: trade, services, IT technologies, industrial and pharmaceutical production.
