BICA Partners an Educational Project to Address Social Challenges

The Sofia State University hosted a round table entitled “Experimentation and innovation of energy policies in the IT environment to solve social problems” on July 22, 2016.

The event is part of a series of research and educational projects for the implementation of policies to address the social challenges – C-RRExtended, developed jointly with: Imperial College – Britain, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology – Germany, Royal Institute of Technology – Sweden; Delft University of Technology – Netherlands; University of Trento – Italy and a private Bulgarian company BICA.

As a first step of this project – C-Reloaded – will implement innovative models to motivate consumers to be more energy efficient in order to support energy-poor households (40% of the population in Bulgaria). The purpose of the roundtable was to identify needs, expectations and capacities in Bulgaria in order to create partnerships at the local level and initiate additional actions to build long-term capacity in the region.

The event was attended by representatives of state institutions, business and academia, as well as partners in the project.
