Eldrive has commissioned two new fast charging stations for electrical vehicles in Sofia as part of the fast developing Eldrive charging network.

One of the charging stations is located at the parking lot of KFC restaurant on “Vladimir Vazov” Blvd., and the other one is at the Residential Park”, located on Sofia ring road.

Both charging stations allow fast charging by the two automotive industry standards – CHAdeMO and CCS, used by Asian and European vehicle brands, accordingly. The new stations are with power capacity of 50 kW DC and 22 kW DC, respectively, and allow charging for up to one hour for the most common electrical vehicles. The 50 kW DC charging station is produced by ABB, one of the key partners of Eldrive.

The current number of Eldrive charging plugs is 30, from which 6 are fast charging (some chargers have more than 1 plug). The stations are located in Sofia, Plovdid, Varna, Burgas, Blagoevgrad, Albena Resort and Sandanski. Further plans for network development include fast chargers on all main roads to enable intercity traveling.

On the company ‘s website (www.eldrive.eu) clients can find an interactive map (https://map.eldrive.eu/), so each client can identify the closest and available charging station at that moment. Payment for the charging service is made after an on-line registration on the same website, which can also be done via a mobile phone. This allows customers to charge their electric vehicles without RFID card.
