Hilton Sofia has announced that hospitality professional Christoph Glaser is the new General Manager of the hotel. With over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. Glaser joins Hilton Sofia having previously held the position of General Manager at Hilton Bonn. Mr. Glaser replaces Stephan Reiter, who, after 4 and a half years in Sofia, took over the opening of Hilton Astana in Kazakhstan.

In his role as General Manager of Hilton Sofia, Mr. Glaser will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the flagship Hilton hotel in the Bulgarian capital, which offers 245 spacious rooms on 8 floors, including top Executive Floors, 17 Suites and considerable meeting and event facilities.

Prior to joining the team in Sofia, Mr. Glaser was General Manager of the 252-room Hilton Bonn, being at the helm during most successful years for the hotel, implementing two new restaurant concepts (one grill & steak restaurant and one market style restaurant) and achieving top performance. From 2010 until 2012, Mr. Glaser took the position of Director of Operations at Hilton Munich Park, whilst beforehand he held various operations management positions at Hilton Zurich Airport, Hilton Munich City and Hilton San Francisco Union Square.

Born in South Germany, Christoph Glaser began his illustrious career in the hospitality industry as a waiter at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. He is a winter sports enthusiast and seasoned traveler, who is looking very much forward to exploring Sofia and the landmarks of Bulgaria.
