In 2017 Law and Internet Foundation celebrated a record success. The organisation has been awarded by the European Commission with 10 projects. The Foundation manages and coordinates 5 of them.
Among the new initiatives launched by the Foundation, the INFORM project sparks particular interest. Under the Law and Internet Foundation’s coordination INFORM unites 10 organisations from 10 EU member states in a common effort to raise awareness on the pan-European reform in the field of data protection.
The project concept is to reach the judiciary, legal practitioners and court staff. Тherefore, INFORM will engage trainers, empowering them with tailor-made materials and customised training methodology. The project team will also develop an e-Learning programme to directly involve target groups. In addition, the partners will dedicate efforts to promote practice advice and strengthen data subjects’ rights.
The project is implemented with the support of the Justice Programme of the European Commission under Grant Agreement № 763866. The Foundation’s successes do not seem to cease. At the very beginning of the current year, the Foundation has been awarded with two more projects, concentrated on the civil society’s development in Europe.
