ТBI Bank holds two №1 spots in Banker banks ranking

TBI Bank ranks first in two effectiveness and profitability rankings of specialized newspaper Banker weekly for 2017. In the traditional ranking of the newspaper, TBI Bank ranks first in both return on equity and return on assets categories.

Banker analyses Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) data for 2017. TBI Bank registers positive growth in both indicators: return on equity increases from 17.7% to 18.9%, and return on assets reaches 4.5%, up from 4% in 2016.

Banker qualifies TBI Bank as “one of the smaller banks in terms of assets which stand out with great effectiveness. They [the smaller banks like TBI Bank] have developed very well their specialized niche which brings them a remarkable revenue in comparison with their asset size. This allows them to successfully compete with bigger banks regarding the effectiveness criteria”, Banker further comments.

The bank is among the top 10 in one more ranking: the banks with largest profits in Bulgaria. With BGN 31 million unconsolidated profit TBI Bank ranks just behind some of the biggest banks in Bulgaria, which is one more proof of its profitability and sustainable growth.

“TBI Bank continues to prove that it is not necessary to be big in order to succeed”, says Petr Baron, CEO of TBIF Financial Services, the company owner of TBI Bank. “Our team is very dedicated and focused in our main business line, this is what the excellent results of the bank show. They give us the confidence and stability to continue our journey to becoming a next gen digital lender”, Baron adds.
