From 24th to 28th September Fox Networks Group Bulgaria, as a part of 21st Century Fox, contributed to the global initiative 21CF Impact Week dedicated to the pressing problem of plastic pollution.
This year the main topic of 21CF Impact Week was National Geographic’s CSR campaign “Planet or Plastic”. By changing the consumer behavior towards the single-use plastic, the campaign aims to reduce the amount of plastic waste that reaches the Ocean.
National Geographic is asking its audience to take e pledge and join in a commitment to reduce the use of plastic. You can take the pledge on: https://www.natgeotv.com/bg/special/plasticpledge
During the 21CF Impact Week almost 90% of FNG Bulgaria’s employees volunteered to take part in an awareness campaign to inform about the negative impact of plastic and to give advice about how people can reduce its use in their everyday life. The team organized and took part in activities contributing to the fight against the growing plastic pollution – distribution of informational materials and recycling bins in Raiffeisen Property Holding International and local restaurants, organization of informational and cleaning events.
Impact Week is an annual initiative of 21st Century Fox’s Social Impact program aiming to help create a business that looks beyond profit and to consider the impact we have on the world. This initiative represents the values of the company and aligns with its mission to build a socially responsible business. Hundreds of service projects took place between 24th and 28th September 2018, empowering thousands of employees to give back to the communities in which we live and work.
