Cargill Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Food Bank and Cargill Bulgaria join efforts in an initiative to promote reducing food waste. Both organizations believe that food is one of the most valuable resources.

Very often, on the way from the producer to the consumer, for a variety of reasons, food surpluses appear. Most often the redundant food is discarded. Bulgarian Food Bank (BFB) is working every day to provide the opportunity for the excess, but suitable for eating food to be shared. The interaction of the business with food banking is a process verified by practice that businesses integrate into their operational work daily.

The Food Forum will be held on October 10, 2018 at 09:30 in the GENERATOR on 47, Cherni Vrah Blvd., Vitosha Business Center, East Entrance. It is aimed at companies from the food industry and is organized by the Bulgarian Food Bank (BFB) with the support of Cargill, a global company in the food sector. We hope that the topic is of interest to you and that we will be able to cooperate to make your organization members familiar with it and to see you personally during the forum.

During the forum we will talk about the possibilities of food banking and our lecturers will share many of the best practices and achievements of the business and food banking in Bulgaria and around the world and will talk about the path of food in a sustainable society. There will also be specific examples from the daily life of BFB and companies operating on the Bulgarian market, which will give a practical understanding of how each company can become a “savior” of food.
