Automotive Cluster Bulgaria, in partnership with the Inter Expo Center, and with the support of Automechanika, has fulfilled its promise to bring representatives of the world’s automotive elite in Sofia to present the plans of giants like VW Group, BMW, Ford, Bosch and ABB to develop Eastern Europe and Bulgaria.

During the forum a memorandum for joint action in the field of autonomous technologies was signed between Mobileye and Automotive Cluster Bulgaria. The Automotive Forum was the platform for announcing of EUR 500 million worth of investments from 12 new projects that will lead to the opening of 20,000 new jobs in the automotive sector.

After the Automotive Forum & Expo Sofia 2018 Automotive Cluster Bulgaria’s team continues its efforts to attract a major manufacturer in Bulgaria and to help build a stable network of suppliers for the automotive industry. From the podium of Automotive Forum & Expo Sofia 2018 the Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and Deputy Economy Minister Lachezar Borisov confirmed the government’s commitment to the development of automotive business in the country.

Mrs. Tanya Borissova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, expressed her strong support for the education in automotive specialties and classes in order to prepare the necessary staff for the expected development of the sector.
