For the fifth consecutive year, the application platform of TELUS International Bulgaria Community Board is open to new projects of non-governmental organizations searching for funding. The projects should be in line with the three main pillars of the Board – education, healthcare and environmental protection.
Each organization can submit their project from February 11th to March 4th by filling in the online application form.
The first meeting of the members of the Community Board will be held at the end of March. The Board members will discuss all applications and decide which projects to fund, depending on the sustainability of the solutions to publicly significant problems they offer. Projects are pre-selected according to all the criteria described on the Board’s website as well.
Every year, TELUS International Community Board in Bulgaria supports socially significant projects that offer solutions to contemporary issues in the fields of education, healthcare and ecology. Last year the Board distributed BGN 150,000 between 25 projects. This year, the amount to be distributed is BGN 170,000. The maximum amount that can be awarded to any given approved project of a non-governmental organization is up to BGN 7,500.
Since its establishment in 2015, TELUS International Bulgaria Community Board has funded 64 projects worth a total of BGN 421,777. Some of the supported projects include the following organizations: ‘Cedar Foundation’ – Sofia, National Alliance for Volunteer Action – Plovdiv, ‘Education Without Backpacks’ – Sofia, Karin Dom Foundation – Varna, ‘BALIZ’ Association – Pleven, among others.
In 2019, the Community Board will distribute BGN 20,000 more in favor of NGO projects in the fields of education, healthcare and environmental protection.
