During Q4’2019, Telenor Bulgaria maintained the revenue and EBITDA year-on-year growth trends, that were observed during the previous quarters of 2019.
Total revenue for the quarter exceeded 201m BGN, up by 3.1% above the same period last year, mainly driven by improved average revenue per user (ARPU) which was 15.9 BGN for the quarter, or 7.8% higher than in Q4’2018.
Revenue growth, in combination with the ongoing efficiency efforts, resulted in an improved EBITDA, amounting to 88m BGN for the quarter, or 3.6% above Q4’2018 (comparable growth). As a result of the ongoing SIM-cards consolidation trend on the market, the Telenor customer base decreased slightly, compared to the end of 2018, and stood at 3.0 million customers of which 19% constitute prepaid subscribers.
Telenor remained focused on network quality and customer experience throughout 2019, which resulted the Best in Test certificate awarded to Telenor mobile network by umlaut, a leading international mobile network measurement company, for measurements in six categories during Q2-Q3 2019.
