AmCham General Assembly Approves Statutes Amendments and the 2019 Auditors’ Report

Yesterday, July 9th, AmCham Bulgaria approved the proposed by the Board Amendments of the Statutes and the 2019 Auditors’ Report

“The Auditors’ Report and the Financial Statement clearly say that all of the financials of the Chamber are handled with precision. All of the spendings are done in line with the law, the Statutes, and for the benefit of the Chamber and its members. The Auditor’s report is positive and gives solid ground for the future development of the Chamber,” said Kostas Papagiannis, BoD Member and Treasurer of AmCham Bulgaria (on the cover photo).

“In my personal view ihe financials of the Chamber – from the strategic planning to the execution of an event or project are done professionally. That makes me happy,” he added also.

The amended AmCham Statutes continue the process of strengthening the organization, the transparency with regard to membership and the Board, as well as gives more representation of the American companies.

It also provides stability with regard to the management of the members and ensures clear and transparent process of nomination of candidates for the Board.

The event was attended by Miguel Hernandez, Commercial Attache of the U.S. Embassy to Bulgaria.

He addressed the audience with his observations of the cultural aspects of his tenure in Bulgaria. The main point of his remarks was on the strengthening of the rule of law, strategic approach in key sectors of the economy such as defense, healthcare & e-health, digital transformation, etc.
