President Radev and AmCham Bulgaria discussed The Three Seas Initiative

Today AmCham Bulgaria’s representatives met with President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev upon his invitation. Bojidar Neychev, Board Member and Petar T. Ivanov, CEO discussed with him the potential of Bulgaria in the Three Seas Initiative, including interconnection projects with high added value that might lead to new U.S. investments in Bulgaria, as well as increasing the digital connectivity in Eastern Europe.

AmCham Bulgaria is an indispensable member of the AmChams in Europe – the umbrella organization of 45 American chambers across Europe. In 2019 at the Ljubljana Summit of the Three Seas, 11 AmChams signed a joint declaration to present their support to the initiative.

“The economic and social cohesion in Europe is an obligatory condition for the sustainable development of the EU and requires active education and scientific exchange,” underlined President Radev. By his words the upcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the Three Seas Initiative in 2021 will focus not only on transportation and energy connectivity, but the regional education, science and innovation exchange.
