On January 27th, 2021 AmCham Bulgaria welcomed seven of the new members that joined the chamber in 2020. Due to COVID-19 the team wasn’t able to organize physical events, as well as the webinar density in H2 was high. Thus, we decided to open the 2021 Events Calendar with a virtual introduction of BizPortal, Hewlett Packard Enterprise operated by Selectium, HR Consulting Partners, Noble Graphics, Orbico Bulgaria, Pim Prima, and Schreiber Foods Bulgaria to our membership.
“We are happy that we are continuing our tradition with a social and networking event in the beginning of 2021. Glad to welcome those seven companies which perfectly match our strategy to focus on quality of members, not quantity,” addressed the audience Olivier Marquette, AmCham Bulgaria President.
“We expect 2021 to be again busy and focused on strategic events and activities such as General Assembly in March, Bulgaria’s hosting of the Three Seas Initiative Summit, and, we hope, that we could be hybrid hosts of the AmChams in Europe Annual Conference in the Fall. As any other year before, we shall be seeking for your – our members – active engagement and support on the way how we implement the priorities of the chamber,” he said also.
Cisco WebEx platform was greatly useful to support the team’s idea for encourage networking and swift conversations in smaller groups. The participants were able to join each of the new members’ breakout sessions, which were specially created to foster the communication and business contacts exchange.
First in alphabetical order was presented Bizportal by Andrey Davidov, Financial Director.

Then the chamber welcomed two of a the leaders that have outstanding record track in serving in various chamber’s bodies. HPE by Selectium’s Iravan Hira was Board Member for (2014-2018), and HRCP’s Zlatina Kushkieva is still serving as Co-Chair of the HR and Education Committee.
