AmCham HR & Education Committee held a Virtual Meeting on May 27th, 2021

On May 27th, 2021 the HR & Education Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria held a virtual meeting on two main topics: HR Automation towards а Paperless Office & Gamification of HR Processes.

Moderator of the event was Zlatina Kushkieva, HR and Education Committee Co-Chair and Managing Partner, HR Consulting Partners.

“We have very interesting topics and speakers today and we will put some questions on the table because this is one of the main purposes of all the committees at the American Chamber of Commerce – to learn from each other, to share experiences but also to search for an answer and understand who has already found a solution for the challenges in our professional spheres,” said Zlatina Kushkieva in her welcoming remarks.

UniCredit Bulbank

Topic: HR Automation with a Focus on a Paperless Program

Speaker: Andrea Tognetti, Head of HR

“Often we talk about digital and customers’ experience but how is it possible to achieve customer experience without a proper employees experience? Working in the Banking Sector, I might admit that we need to improve even if, in UniCredit Bulbank, we have a clear strategy that includes all the above aspects. Generally speaking, Bank and Financial Institutions are pretty regulated and this risk-conscious attitude and environment on one side allow us to do the right, but sometimes could become a legacy especially when we talk about innovation and new technologies. In UniCredit Bulbank we are trying anyway to make a difference by putting our colleagues in the center. The idea is to create a Human Capital Strategy linked to the Bank one with the aim to become an Employer of Choice” said Andrea Tognetti, Head of HR of UniCredit Bulbank.

“Becoming an employer of choice means to move from the old approach of creating HR services that fit all to have tailored perks, benefits, and services consistent with employee needs. To achieve this target it is not enough to assess your services and link them to the employee journey (e.g. recruiting, onboarding, developing, engaging…), but you need to consider also another variable which refers to the life cycle of our colleagues. There are moments that matter in life that an employer of choice might recognize to enrich the Employee Service and care for the employees properly. At a certain point digitalization (e.g. digital recruiting, digital signature…) will become a commodity and the attractiveness will be triggered by caring and flexibility,” added Mr. Tognetti.
