The leader in delivery of fast moving consumer goods in Bulgaria invested €25 million in its new home that has the motto of “Home for business, home for people“. The facility features a logistics warehouse and office centre and it is the biggest one for the entire Orbico Group. The strategic location of the facility, situated in Sofia on Chelopeshko Shosse close to Botevgradsko Shosse Blvd, ensures consolidation of the overall business activities performed by Orbico in Sofia and Sofia District and access to fast transportation links.
The new logistics centre of Orbico Bulgaria is situated on a land of 57 dca and its total area is 34 699 square metres, of which 4000 sq.m. is taken by a five-storey administrative building with a fully glazed facade. The logistic centre has 8000 sq. m. of temperature controlled zone and 22 600 sq. m. of dry warehouses with a capacity of 45 000 storage pallet spaces.
The new facility is to provide automated order preparation processes and controlled storage environment, which are expected to increase efficiency and the level of operational processes.
The opening ceremony held for a limited number of people was attended by formal guests, business partners, the owner of Orbico Group Mr. Branko Roglic and Stipe Roglic – a member of the Supervisory Board of Orbico Group.

It sounds strong, ambitious and very real at the same time”, said Daniela Vezieva, acting Minister of Economy, at the opening ceremony. “I hope the new logistics centre will really become a home for business and a home for people and I would like to thank the investors for not losing their ambition to succeed in the current pandemic crisis, for not becoming frightened by what has happened to all of us and for thinking ahead”, she added.

Branko Roglic, one of the most prominent and respected business leaders in Croatia addressed the guests in fluent Bulgarian.
„I feel proud and happy to open Orbico Bulgaria new logistics centre, which is the biggest in our group. This large-scale project is yet another step forward that comes to prove that Orbico Group is developing and is proudly considered as a leading distributor in Europe”, he said. „I would like to thank all our employees because without them, without their devotion, this success of ours would not have happened”, added Branko Roglic.
Ivanka Ivanova, Operations Director, Board Member Romania & Bulgaria, provided brief information about the project and the key participants in its performance.
„I am extremely proud that we managed to finish this project, which is the biggest one for our entire group. We started it back in 2016 together with our office manager Correct Project and Ivo Petrov Architects as the overall project was worked out following our assignment. The groundbreaking was in 2019 and afterwards we successfully overcame all the obstacles and so in August 2021 we were issued the Authorization for Use and we moved to our office centre, which marks a new beginning aimed at further and bigger success”, said Ivanka Ivanova.
