Dear Members and Friends:

As we are looking with hope to 2022, it is our tradition at AmCham Bulgaria to review our achievements over the past twelve months. We are happy to report many new success stories, accomplishments, and partnerships that build on our priorities and positioning. And we are truly thankful for your membership and support. 

2021 will be remembered with enhanced partnerships with various institutions and organizations. We continue to enjoy excellent relations with the U.S. Embassy in Bulgaria and have the same vision for the development of the Transatlantic relations, to contribute to the success of the Strategic Dialogue, and the improvement of the investment climate in Bulgaria. 

In 2021 we successfully completed a series of landmark activities with potential to scale in 2022: 

• AmCham Bulgaria was co-organizer of The Three Seas Business Forum, July 8-9^th, 2021, as part of the Bulgaria’s hosting of the Three Seas Initiative Summit. Happening for the first time in any AmCham history. Then we initiated the 2021 Sofia 3SI AmChams Declaration for support the initiative. 

• Healthcare as Investment Report 2021 – jointly crafted by the “Healthcare Committee” members. 

• EU Green Deal Transformation – Opportunities and Challenges Conference, June 30^th, and AmCham position on this topic sent to the Bulgarian Government and the EU Commission. 

• Annual Business Meeting with Ambassador Mustafa, December 15^th. 

• Energy Industry Decarbonization Report – that will be ready in January 2022 and will provide data-based, scientific, and non-biased solutions of the forthcoming decarbonization of the energy system of Bulgaria. 

• Our Board reconfirmed Chamber’s priorities and established two new committees – Rule of Law and Legislative Reform and Research, Innovation & Startups, and the EU Green Deal Working Group. 

All of this would not have been possible without your support! Please accept my personal gratitude and the Board’s appreciation for your loyal membership in AmCham Bulgaria. 

It was a tough year and the fact that you respect your obligations as a loyal member is highly appreciated. We would like to thank you also for your collaboration on various topics and ideas and are glad to have so many proactive and firm members. 

Along with that, I would like to inform you that your AmCham membership has been renewed automatically as of January 1, 2022, except in cases when an explicit request for membership cancellation has been submitted. We also kindly remind you that pursuant to the AmCham Statutes all members have to pay their membership fees in a timely manner and according to a Board decision by August 31^st, 2022 Enclosed you will find a Pro-forma invoice for your membership fee for the period January 1^st, 2022 – December 31^st, 2022 as well as a List of Membership categories and their respective benefits. 

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you once again for your commitment to the Chamber. I want to assure you that in 2022 we will continue our efforts to fulfil our mission and goals. We will rely on even higher membership engagement because joint efforts multiply the positive impact.
