In a nutshell the position says:
- There should be predictability in the planning in both the NHIF and the pharmaceutical companies in order to provide access to quality treatment and to deliver medicine to the Bulgarian patients.
- There should be fairness in methodology and budgeting that reflects real needs and spending in the HC system without harming the supplies.
- There is a gap between the 2022 NHIF Budget estimation and the expected cost for innovative medicine at app. BGN 25 M. It could increase to BGN 300 M if the pandemic develops in 2022.
- There is no need a new group of medicines to be introduced on vague and non-transparent criteria.
