Coca-Cola’s Hellenic Shared Services in Bulgaria with New Director

Kata Barariu will take over the leadership of the organization that supplies finance and human resources services to all Coca-Cola Group HBC markets in 28 countries

Kata Barariu will be the new Head of Shared Services at the Coca-Cola Hellenic Shared Services Center, located in Sofia, which provides finance and human resources services to all the group’s markets in Europe and beyond. She will be responsible for more than 600 professionals who conduct financial and accounting activities, support the administration of human resources processes, and manage business data for the Coca-Cola HBC Group, operating in 28 countries.

Kata Barariu has 25 years of business experience, having held various key positions related to the financial management in the Coca-Cola System. Before moving to Sofia 3 years ago, she has been a Shared Services transition manager for the Group, financial controller at Coca-Cola Enterprises Canada, commercial finance manager at Coca-Cola Hellenic Austria and finance controller at Coca-Cola Hellenic Romania.

She has a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking from the University of Timișoara. She is also a certified internal auditor and graduate of the IMD Executive Leadership Program.

In the last few months, Kata Barariu has focused much of her efforts on improving in-house and adding new value adding processes at the Coca-Cola Hellenic Shared Services Center, as well as ensuring close cooperation with clients. This will remain a top priority for her even after accepting her new position.


For more than 10 years, the Centre has been providing services in the field of finance and human resources, dealing with analyses, forecasts and reports for all Coca-Cola HBC markets. Over the years, Kata Barariu has made an extremely large contribution to many major projects related to the optimization of the organization’s processes, as well as assisting in the extremely rapid development and expansion of the organization’s activities. Thanks to her, many of the company’s processes and operations run smoothly. She was also responsible for many of the Centre’s internal financial and operational activities.
