HPE Sofia Site had the honor to host one of a kind virtual event “opportUNITY for ALL” during which team members celebrated together the power of inclusion. In the spotlight were company’s culture and beliefs, HPE priorities, the power of inclusion and allyship. Our internal and external guest speakers shared their inspirational stories and insights on why diversity matters and how to build a sense of belonging in the world of Edge.

The meeting was facilitated by the well-known journalist Svetoslav Ivanov who kept the balance between engagement and discussion and contributed with his own vision and experience. We kicked off with a panel discussion with George Ruitchev, Executive Director Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum who talked about the Bulgarian Diversity Charter mission, challenges and achievements. He was joined by Lilly Dragoeva, Executive Director Bilitis, LGBT Activist and Kremena Kuneva, Founder ZaDobroto Foundation. Both ladies have solid experience in various activities and social campaigns and they once again highlighted how critical everyone’s role is. All panelists exchanged best practices and recalled joint successes with HPE.

We then continued with a short video greeting from one of our partners – Para Kids (https://parakids.org/). All participants have been touched by the touching moments and words, shared in the recording.

Third module was an interview with HPE team members with career focus on driving diversity, equity and inclusion among the company. All the meaningful examples and stories made us proud and believe that HPE is ahead in its mission to bring equity.

To wrap up, here are the key takeaways of the event – be aware, be awake, be critical to what’s happening around us and we can all build equity together one sprint at a time! Not everyone has equal start but everyone deserves equal chance!
