The safekeeping of occupational safety and health of our employees has always been our main priority. The pandemic was an enormous test for all of us and we faced numerous challenges but thanks to the commitment of all our colleagues and the established good practices we managed to continue our reliable work and to guarantee the needed electricity for the Bulgarian households and business, said Nikolai Kolev, Health, Safety and Security Manager at ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3 TPP. Mr. Kolev received the award personally from Ms. Elena Avramova, executive director of the General Labour Inspectorate Executive Agency.
Last year, the power plant, which is one of the largest in Bulgaria, generated electricity for almost half of the households in the country and recorded 15.5 million accident-free man-hours.
