AmCham Supports BESCO’s Variable Capital Enterprise Law Amendment of the Commercial Law

Expressing the position of the Rule of Law and Legislative Reform, AmCham Bulgaria filed a letter to the Economic Policy and Innovation Commission at the 47th Parliament. It declares support to the BESCO’s Variable Capital Enterprise Law Amendment of the Commercial Law.

The broader position of the AmCham’s Committee is that the existing Commercial Law needs modernization in many aspects. Over past decades there is plenty of legal experience that has identified series of issues and grey areas.

“Thus we support all efforts for the modernization of the Commercial Law by creating of more modern and flexier legal provisions in favor of business. … Even more, we stand on the position that the requirements of the present times impede general rewriting or even creation of an entirely new Commercial Law to provide harmonized and consistent legal framework of all aspects of the commercial turnover,” the letter says.
