AmCham Bulgaria Starts Educational Partnership Program with Two Bulgarian Universities

AmCham Bulgaria upgrades its relationships with two of the leading universities in Bulgaria – New Bulgarian University (NBU) and Sofia University’s Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) with the launch of the Educational Partnership Program. Its focus is the development of the human capital, across industries and organizations. Each academia will gain from the experience shared by leading HR professionals from companies, incl. Adecco Bulgaria, IBM Bulgaria, JobTiger, MSD Bulgaria, Kamenitza, Sb Accounting & Consulting, UniCredit Bulbank. The lectures for bachelor and master programs students start on October 4th at NBU, hosted and moderate by Chief Assist. Prof. Maria Tumbeva, PhD, and will be followed with another on October 11th at the FEBA, hosted and moderated by Prof. Zhelyu Vladimirov and Kiril Velitchkov, PhD. This round of the program concludes in mid-December.

“This joint initiative combines the business experience of prominent HR professionals, members of from a leading business organization such as AmCham, and the academic approach. Our goal is to bring added value to the students through sharing how HR practices work in our member’ companies. Our vision and understanding is that, with this program we give our stake in filling the gap between universities and businesses, thus helping students be even better equipped for their future careers,” says Zlatina Kushkieva, Co-Chair of Human Capital and Education Committee and Managing Partner, HR Consulting Partners and U Matter.

Human capital development and education are among the priorities of AmCham for years. Finding the proper format that can be integrated into the academia curricula helps universities provide an additional value to their students and exchange best practices with the corporate business. This exchange opens a number of opportunities for the next generation of Bulgarians.
