How Business Partners with the Academic Education

To tell more about the AmCham Bulgaria HR Education Program, several experts had a conversation on the Bulgarian National Radio – Radio Sofia Program at the “Capital’s Rhythm” Show hosted by Katya Vasileva. Ass. Prof. Boryana Bogdanova, Ph.D., Ass. Mariana Dimitrova, Ph.D., and Daniel Kiryakov, Communications and Public Affairs, AmCham.

“The initiative started in October. It builds up the chamber’s current activities, initiatives – in particular of our Human Capital and Education Committee, in a way some of the leading HR professionals in the country to share their experience with students that are studying in both universities’ programs,” – pointed out Kiryakov.

“Such programs create opportunities to improve the public environment, thus giving more changes to the young people to find jobs, and – probably – Bulgaria to become a better place to live,” – emphasized Kiryakov.

“To be successful such a product, it is very important to find the best coordination between business, the curricula, and the education programs that we have to follow. Also a better modulation of the classes is vital for their success too,” said Ass. Prof. Boryana Bogdanova, Ph.D.

Chief Ass. Mariana Dimitova explained that for the students is very important along with the theoretical knowledge to gain some practical ones shared from expert fields professionals. “This initiative fits well in our education programs too,” – she said also.

Ass. Prof. Bogdanova shared that there is high demand of well-qualified talents and such educational partnerships shortens the distance between the theoretical preparation and the labor market.

Daniel Kiryakov emphasized on the fact that if the goal of such a program is to secure progress and well-being of groups of people, then the focus of the business and the employers should be creating such conditions that make people feel good and deliver. Such conditions include health and safety, good organizational culture, creativity, skills advancement, as well as employees to can share ideas, realizing them and proper rewards.
