Demian Pintos is the new General Manager of Philip Morris Bulgaria

Demian Pintos is the new General Manager of Philip Morris Bulgaria, effective March 1st. He will continue leading the company towards the fulfillment of the smoke-free mission in Bulgaria. Coming from company’s headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, he will be bringing a very wide and international perspective both from Philip Morris International and other multinational companies from different geographies.

Among his priorities as General Manager will be the acceleration of the smoke-free transformation of Philip Morris Bulgaria, further strengthening its multicategory presence in the country, enhancing sustainability and ESG efforts of the company and developing a diverse and engaged organization.

The organizational changes in Bulgaria come after Philip Morris International’s regional restructuring in which Christos Harpantidis assumes the position of Vice President of Europe for the Southeastern countries and George Margonis – Philip Morris Bulgaria’s previous General Manager, continues his professional journey as Managing Director of Greece, Cyprus, and Malta.

Demian Pintos’ career in Philip Morris International started over 10 years ago and took him through different marketing & Business Head senior roles, most recently as Global Head and Franchise leader for the biggest brand in the portfolio of the company. His previous professional experience includes senior commercial & marketing roles in different consumer goods categories. Demian Pintos hold a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from IE Business School in Madrid. He’s married with two daughters.
