Edenred Bulgaria Raised Over BGN 21,000 for a Gynaecological Hospital in Plovdiv

The charity relay run for companies of Edenred Bulgaria raised more than 21 000 BGN in support of the obstetrics and gynecology department AGO “Vesela”, part of “Sveti Mina” municipal hospital in Plovdiv.

Each year, the Edenred group celebrates its Idealday by choosing causes and socially focused projects to support. On this day, all the Group’s employees around the world unite around a socially useful cause to support local communities. This year Edenred Bulgaria celebrated its Idealday on 21st of June by organising Edenred RUN 2023. The event is organized for the 4th year.

The run took place in the Boris garden and was organized in a team relay, with each participant having to run 3 km. 39 companies – clients, partners and employees of Edenred Bulgaria – took part in Edenred RUN, which formed a record 86 teams, with more than 340 participants and a large audience that supported the teams.

The Edenred Bulgaria team, together with its customers, partners and employees managed to collect a record amount of BGN 21,485 in support of the campaign, which is twice the amount collected last year.

With the entire amount collected from this year’s campaign, specialized medical equipment will be purchased for the obstetrics gynecology department of AGO “Vesela” at the municipal hospital MBAL “Sveti Mina”, the city of Plovdiv. This is the only municipal maternity home in Plovdiv, it is in a deplorable condition and is operated with old equipment. There are between 300-350 births per year and about 900 people are examined.

The organization of the event, as well as the choice of the cause itself, are in partnership with 5KM RUN. With its relay run for companies – Edenred RUN 2023 – Edenred Bulgaria for another year joined the charity campaign of 5KM RUN, “Donate your time to 5kmrun 2023”.
