AmCham Bulgaria and The Bulgarian News Agency Sign Media Partnership

Today AmCham Bulgaria signed a media partnership contract with the Bulgarian News Agency.

“With this agreement , BTA expands its partnership circle with the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria,” – said Kiril Valchev, BTA Director General,  at a press conference at the BTA National Press Club  in the presence of H.E. Kenneth Merten, U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria and Omourtag Petkov, AmCham Bulgaria Board Member and Chair of the Rule of Law and Legislative Reform Committee.

The Agency has already signed contracts with the German-Bulgarian Industrial Trade Chamber, French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, and Industry, and the Bulgarian-Romanian Commercial and Industrial Chamber. “We expect that most of the 50 bilateral chambers in Bulgaria will start being present in BTA”, emphasized on their goal Mr. Valchev. He pointed out that the major purpose of that initiative of BTA is to provide more information about the investment potential in Bulgaria, and vice versa – the Bulgarian business success stories in the USA and abroad.

“Our partnership with BTA is of strategic importance for the positioning of Bulgaria before our international partners and investors, as well as to represent the Transatlantic economy, the opportunities and innovations in Bulgaria,” explained Ivan Mihaylov, CEO, AmCham Bulgaria. “BTA has been the national information source for more than 125 years now. Thanks to AmCham Bulgaria and our 46 AmChams in Europe network the reliable sources of business and investment information and data about the economic development and sustainable growth Bulgaria, European Union and the United States becomes more visible.” – he also pointed out.
