About the PR Day in Bulgaria

The PR Day in Bulgaria was approved by the Council of Ministers on March 4th, 2020 after a proposal by the Minister of Culture. The date is a symbolic one – on this date in 2005 representatives of all associations join and accept common Ethics Code. This document is fundamental for the unity of the sector and creates basic rules which are recommended to all PR professionals and companies for doing their communication activities.

The PR Day proposal was signed by the then chairs of the Bulgarian Public Relations Association (БДВО), Bulgarian Association of Public Relations Agencies (BAPRA), Association of the Municipalities’ Communications Specialists (АСКО), European Assocation of Communication Directors (EACD) – Bulgaria, The Ethics Commission of BPRA, and the Public Relations Practicioners Association at the Union of the Bulgarian Journalists.

The March 4, 2020 press release says that the work of the PR professionals requires high professionalism, quality, and meeting the deadlines. Thus, the PR Day proposal achieves respect and acknowledgement of their efforts and achievements.
