Organizational changes in Mondelēz Bulgaria

Maria Lazarova appointed Country Manager of the Bulgarian Business Unit

Sofia, 24 July 2023 – As of June 1st, Maria Lazarova is the new Country Manager of Mondelēz Bulgaria. Previously, in her role as category planning manager for Biscuits, Maria successfully managed the planning and positioning of the category and products in the South-Central European markets.

With her sales and planning experience and a history of more than 17 years at Mondelēz International, Maria has proven her determination and drive to succeed through various functions of the business including: various sales positions within the company, Country Sector Manager, Sales Manager for Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina and most recently Category Planning & Activations Manager for South-Central Europe.

With the experience I have so far, I will continue to work towards our ambition to achieve sustainable and profitable growth, positioning the Mondelēz brands on the market, while continuing to develop our people,” says the new Country Manager for Mondelēz in Bulgaria. Maria Lazarova will continue to develop the company’s “Snacking Made Right” strategy and lead the business in Bulgaria, in line with the global long-term strategy of Mondelēz International.

Lilia Borisova, formerly Country Manager, is taking on a new career challenge and new responsibilities within the Mondelēz organization more focused on South-Central European markets.

The Bulgarian Business Unit is part of the Mondelēz International business in South-Central Europe, along with Romania, Greece, Cyprus and the East Adriatic markets, led by Ivaylo Naydenov, Vice President and General Manager for the business hub.
