Career Days – IT, Communications and Outsourcing 2023 Has Stood Out as an Opportunity to Reach Employers Who Are Hiring

At a time of an increasingly tangible crisis, representatives of top companies were recruiting junior specialists and professionals with experience in 4 cities, and 11 Japanese companies declared their interest in Bulgarian IT talent for the first time.

Over 2300 people from different parts of the country grabbed their chance for professional realization, which the moments of crisis usually do not offer. Students, young people starting their careers and experienced professionals visited the fairs organized by JobTiger in Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Gabrovo. They talked to the representatives of the currently hiring top companies from the IT, Telecommunications and Outsourcing sectors. Employers were choosing from a wide range of candidates with diverse employment backgrounds: from trainees to professionals with proven experience. As 3 of the fairs were held on Saturdays, it was possible to include professionals who were busy during the weekdays.

“I came because representatives of leading companies from the technology sector are gathered in one place. I would like to know exactly how things stand at the moment with the demand for personnel in the industry and whether there are any vacancies that would satisfy my desire for further development. I believe that the best way to do this is to contact employers directly. It’s also the most time-saving – in an hour or two one can make connections one would otherwise wait months for. The best thing about the exhibition was that, besides useful information, I also received suggestions to consider.” This is what a visitor, who introduced herself as Maya, 45, currently working in a software company, said on her way out of the forum at the Marinella Hotel Sofia.

A representative of one of the participating companies said:

“An event like the Career Days, bringing together different people but with the same interests and providing them with a future development through contacts with companies is in a single word ENRICHMENT.”

Another employer representative added:

“As a company that initiates employer branding activities, participating in the IT Career Days was extremely beneficial for us. Not only did we have the opportunity to showcase our company, but also to meet many prospective colleagues and candidates. We will certainly participate again in 2024.”

For the second year, JobTiger partnered with ScanFactor to make it as easy as possible for exhibitors and visitors to exchange contacts. For visitors, registering on the platform enables CVs to be shared directly with employers – with just a scan of a QR code on the spot and with an even greater chance for visitors to stand out. For employers, this is a great convenience and an opportunity to view a tidy database of candidates they spoke to at the show in a few easy steps as soon as they return to their workplaces.

Following the successful Career Days: IT, Communications and Outsourcing, meetings between employers and candidates in the Economy, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and Customer Service sectors will take place at UNWE on 21 November.
