Curtis Bulgaria Celebrated Its 35th Anniversary

Curtis Bulgaria marked its 35th anniversary with a lively celebration at the Grand Hall of the Military Club in Sofia, Bulgaria this past weekend. The event brought together the dedicated team at Curtis Bulgaria, along with esteemed guests from AmCham Bulgaria Olivier Marquette, President, Ivan Mihaylov, CEO , and Daniel Kiryakov, Communications and Public Affairs Manager. Visitors from the US, such as Stuart Marwell & Nicholas Marwell, and Stephen Langdon also joined as well, and we were honored to receive a greeting from U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria, H.E. Kenneth Merten.

As the evening unfolded, the spotlight shone on the company’s remarkable journey over the past three and a half decades — marked by its pioneering role as one of the first US companies to establish business relations with Bulgaria in 1989. Peter Popov, the former Curtis Balkan Managing Director, was honored for his leadership and pivotal role in fostering crucial relationships central to the success of the company. The current Curtis Balkan Managing Director, Ruslan Papazyan, took center stage with a special plaque to honor Mr. Popov’s contributions and impressive 35 years of service to the company.

The celebration continued as bagpipers filled the air with lively tunes, adding a touch of tradition to the modern festivities. The centerpiece of the evening, a magnificent cake adorned with the company’s 35th emblem, symbolized the sweet taste of success that Curtis Bulgaria had savored over the years.

Speeches resonated with reflections on the company’s evolution, highlighting milestones and aspirations for the future. Each word spoken echoed the collective pride and determination that had propelled Curtis Bulgaria forward.

Congratulations to all at Curtis Bulgaria, and best wishes for continued success in the journey ahead!
