Footballers Luka Modrić and Bukayo Saka Strike Partnership with Snickers for Latest Campaign

Football fans have the chance to win a personal meeting with their favourite players by participating in an online game until 31 July.

Snickers, one of Mars, Inc.’s leading brands, has launched its latest campaign featuring soccer superstars Luka Modrić and Bukayo Saka. The purpose of the campaign is to help football fans avoid embarrassing ‘own goals’ and achieve victory over those moments when they are not feeling themselves, with the help of Snickers. Football fans will also have the chance to win exclusive prizes, including a chance to meet their favourite players in person.

As shown in the new Snickers ad with Modric and Saka, the moments when we’re not quite ourselves happen to everyone – whether we’re professional footballers or not. “Own goals” are something we can all relate to and laugh about together.

As well as being stars of the TV screen as of today, Modric and Saka also share their thoughts on some of the biggest mistakes football fans make, via a short video content, while also assessing the biggest ‘own goals’ football fans make. From missing a goal because you went to buy a hotdog before half-time, to arriving at the stadium with a ticket on your phone when its battery is dead, the two players rate the mistakes from one to ten and even reveal some of their own own own own own goals.

Luka Modrić commented: “I´ve really enjoyed working with Snickers. It´s been fun to rate some of the funniest football mistakes – mistakes happen and anybody can score an own goal, sometimes you just need some help to get back on your game.”

Bukayo Saka added: “We’ve all had embarrassing ‘own goals’ off the pitch, and football is nothing without our supporters, but getting your haircut during your team’s game is a solid 10 on the scale. I’ve enjoyed acting alongside Luka, thanks to the Snickers team for making this happen!”

During the campaign, a global prize game is also launched in which Bulgarians will be able to participate until 31 July 2024. Participants can win one of eight surprises, including a personal meeting and game session with Bukayo Saka or Luka Modric. Winners will be chosen in a random draw from all applicants in September.
