The beginning of a new era in transportation – sustainability, power and innovation
The all-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 has arrived in Bulgaria. This truck stands out with its remarkable range and efficiency – up to 500 km without intermediate charging, and the potential to cover over 1 000 km per day when charging during the driver’s mandatory breaks. Starting this month, the eActros 600 is available for viewing and test driving at Silver Star.
The truck was awarded the most prestigious industry prize, “Truck of the Year 2025”, granted by an international jury of 24 journalists from across Europe. The award for Bulgaria was received by Negovan Yosifovich, Executive Director, and Milen Stalev, Head of Truck Sales at Silver Star, the general distributor of Daimler Truck in the country, from Lachezar Apostolov, Editor-in-Chief of “Kamioni” magazine and a member of the international jury.
“Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 combines multiple advantages and represents a true innovation in heavy-duty transport. With the introduction of this model into Silver Star’s product portfolio, we mark an important step toward a sustainable future for logistics in the country,” shared Negovan Yosifovich upon receiving the award.
The eActros 600 is equipped with three batteries with a total capacity of 621 kWh. They are based on LFP technology with a lifespan of up to 1.2 million km over 10 years and more than 80% residual capacity. In addition, it features the intelligent cruise control system Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC), specially optimized for the electric drivetrain. PPC automatically takes into account the topography, road layout, traffic signs, and vehicle weight to ensure maximum efficiency along the selected route. And last but not least – the truck stands out with its high payload capacity. It is technically designed for up to 44 tons of gross combined weight and around 22 tons of payload with a standard semi-trailer.
The vehicle’s efficiency was proven in real conditions during an extended 15 000 km test across 22 European countries (European Testing Tour 2024) and a 6 500 km test in Northern Europe under winter conditions (Winter Testing Tour 2025), loaded with a gross weight of 40 tons.
