“Bulgaria Must Offer Natural and Artificial Intelligence to Compete Globally. Bulgaria is part of global supply chains that provide opportunities to learn, grow, and develop.”, This was the key message highlighted by Daniel Kiryakov, AmCham Bulgaria PMP, in his conversation with Maria Konstantinova on Bulgaria ON AIR ahead of the upcoming international conference “Innovate. Invest. Inspire.”, taking place on October 16, 2025.

During the discussion, several important points emerged:

• The conversation about innovation must continue, both within Bulgaria and beyond,
• Bulgaria must actively pursue its place in an increasingly competitive environment,
• Mature innovations in sectors such as energy and mining, pharmaceuticals, and construction present opportunities for further development,
• The government is making efforts to support start-ups, but the broader environment it creates will determine whether Bulgaria can position itself as a true hub for innovation,
• Businesses must take responsibility by reinvesting profits into innovation and development, creating new products and services with higher added value,
• Stronger connections are needed between business and academia, giving young professionals the chance to collaborate with mentors, teachers, and business leaders. This collaboration can foster the creation of patented and protected products.

The dialogue underscored the importance of cooperation between government, business, and academia in shaping Bulgaria’s innovation-driven future.
