Dear Guests,
Welcome to the Vision 2050 – Building Bulgaria’s Competitiveness Through the Global Future.
VISION 2050 – That’s the responsibility to create the future of Bulgaria. Together.
Since we honored the past thirty years at our Gala in June, today we stand ready to make a promise for the future. A promise before our 350 members and sponsors – to create a visionary event that inspires us all. A forum to once again prove that we have the knowledge, the capacity, and the will to build a more competitive and sustainable Bulgaria.
A promise before our community, our partners, and before our country that despite all odds, despite the turbulent times, lack of perspectives, there will be always a shining light of a beacon to show the right direction.
That beacon is AmCham Bulgaria.
In 2025 AmCham Bulgaria celebrates its first 30th Anniversary. Isn’t it remarkable achievement? It was possible thanks to generations of leaders, members and staff that invested their best to build that community and to promote values that echo beyond frontiers and corporate limitations. Three decades since its birth, our Chamber has been more than a business association that represents 17 industries. It is rather a community of likeminded people that believe that Bulgaria can. And it can do better!
Today we have a choice – should we be by-standers and just witness the changes or we be the architects of our present and future.
With this forum we aim to position Bulgaria in a broader conversation about how we want to live, what kind of businesses we grow, and what Bulgaria we want to redesign. This is not just mere economic discussion. This is our call for a long-term strategic thinking – about Bulgaria that believes in knowledge, innovation, justice, and sustainable development. In AmCham Bulgaria we have always believed that the responsibility for the future is our duty – a duty to our fellow citizens, to the economy, to our children that will live in this country tomorrow.
So, here we are today. We don’t have a crystal ball to predict it. We have it as an image only
I am confident that today’s discussions will inspire new ideas and meaningful connections.
With thirty years of heritage, we can only say that we stand on the shoulders of giants. And it is our duty and call to reach for the stars.

I am certain that with events like this we continue building our community of like-minded people. What are the next thirty for Bulgaria? How competitive must it be? What is needed that it should be more active and prouder EU member and trustworthy partner of the United States of America in the coming decades?
You all know the answer. I do hope that it is thanks to our conference and mission as well.
