On November 21st, 2025, the “ESO’s Plan for the Development of Bulgaria’s Electricity Transmission Network for the Period 2025–2034” meeting was organized by AmCham Energy and Mineral Resources Committee with the Electricity System Operator. The meeting was part of the Committee’s Key Engagements & Stakeholder Dialogue Plan for H2 2025.

The meeting was held with the goal to provide the AmCham members with a valuable opportunity to learn about ESO’s long-term plans, exchange insights, and strengthen collaboration between the business community and ESO in advancing Bulgaria’s energy transition. The even was opened by Ivan Mihaylov, CEO, AmCham Bulgaria and Dimitar Enchev, AmCham EMR Committee Co-chair, CWP Global.

Following the opening,Mr. Dimitar Zarchev, Director of the Central Dispatch Unit at ESO, who was a guest speaker for the meeting, presented ESO’s Plan for the Development of Bulgaria’s Electricity Transmission Network for the period 2025–2034, after which people had the opportunity to discuss with him various aspects of the investment program, stability of the grid, as well as the RES growth in the country.

Dimitar Enchev, AmCham ЕMR Committee Co-chair, CWP Global gave an update on the Energy and Mineral Resources Committee’s Projects & Activities until year end and shared the committee’s Outlook for 2026.
