On November 28th, AmCham Bulgaria kicked off the pilot edition of AmCham Bulgaria Step Ahead Mentoring Program – a natural continuation of the AmCham Hackathon, designed to build on the strong partnerships and collaborations established in its previous editions.
Powered by three leading AmCham member companies – IBM Bulgaria, Kyndryl, and MSD Bulgaria – the program will give students and businesses the opportunity to work together on real-world projects, gain valuable insights, and create lasting professional connections.
The kickoff was attended by near thirty students from four universities, including Technical University of Sofia, FEBA and Sofia University – Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.

Ivan Mihaylov, AmCham CEO gave the opening remarks to the event regarding the goals of the program and what is the idea behind it.

Boyka Docheva and Dimitar Bairev, part of IBM Bulgaria’s team, delved into the specifics of the program, explained what each of the students can expect and encouraged them to be as much proactive as possible.

The project’s manager Veneta Sapoundjieva presented the time-table, explaining to the students what the different parts of the projects will be, as well as how long each of them will be.
