On March 12th, 2026, AmCham Bulgaria had its’ third presentation of the Hackathon 3.0 Tech-for-Good: Local Impact to students from Technical University Sofia.
At the presentation, in front of a full auditorium, organized by Agata Manolova, Associate Professor at Technical University of Sofia , Daniel Kiryakov, AmCham Communications & Public Affairs Manager, told about the idea of the hackathon, as well as the immense benefits, such as developing both soft and hard skills, as well as the opportunity to be mentored and work with leaders from different industries.
Leaders, such as IBM, Sensata Technologies, MOTO-PFOHE, Syscom Engineering, A1, who joined us and presented part of their cases for the Hackathon, as well as part of their team members, which have volunteered to mentor in the initiative.
The participating teams will be formed by students from four universities (for now): Technical University of Sofia, FEBA, Sofia University – Faculty of Economics, SU, University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (UCTM), and Paisiy Hilendarski University of Plovdiv. Each team will develop a solution to a specific practical case provided by companies that are members of AmCham Bulgaria.
