BOYANOV & Co. acted as the Bulgarian legal counsel to the seller in connection with the sale of Silver Star, the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles and Daimler trucks and buses in Bulgaria, to Inchcape plc, a leading global automotive distributor. The transaction, one of the most significant deals in Bulgaria’s fast-growing automotive retail sector in 2026, was announced on 22 May 2026 and completed on 1 July 2026.

The firm provided comprehensive Bulgarian law support to the seller throughout the transaction, including legal due diligence support, support with the drafting of the transaction documents, and full legal assistance through signing and completion. BOYANOV & Co. also advised on the regulatory approvals required for the transaction, including merger control clearance from the European Commission and the applicable foreign direct investment screening process.
