Progress Software, a leader in AI infrastructure software, announced today the winners of the seventh edition of its Women in STEM Scholarship Program. The program recognizes young women who have chosen to advance in computer science, software engineering, IT and computer information systems and demonstrate initiative, leadership potential and a willingness to use technology to solve real-world challenges.
This year’s scholarship recipients, each awarded 1600 euros, are Maria Delikotseva from the Technical University of Sofia and Kristina Kalemdzhieva from Sofia University “Kliment Ohridski”. Progress also continues to support its Women in Technology scholarship fund at the American University in Bulgaria, where this year’s scholarship was awarded to Lyubomira Staninska.
“Congratulations to Maria, Kristina and Lyubomira for what they have achieved so far and for their desire to develop in one of the most dynamically changing fields today,” said Lilia Mesechkova, Senior Vice President, Product, Digital Experience, Progress Software. “In the age of AI, success will depend not only on technical knowledge, but also on the ability of young people to think strategically, make informed decisions and turn ideas into real value. We are delighted that through the program we can encourage the next generation of women in STEM to develop these skills and their potential.”
