AmCham Community Celebrates 22nd Independence Day at Sofia Tech Park

Despite the extremely hot weather on July 1st AmCham members and partners came to celebrate the 22nd Annual Independence Day in Sofia Tech Park to mark the 241st anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the United States.

The speeches at the opening echoed the spirit of this remarkable day in American history. The charming Marching Stars Band of Zlatitsa School created a festive atmosphere with music and dance. During the performance of the American and Bulgarian national anthems, the U.S. Marine Corps presented the National Colors.

The U.S. Ambassador Eric Rubin, AmCham President Dr. Krassimira Chemishanska, Executive Director Petar Ivanov and the Master of Ceremony Silviya Todorova greeted the guests from the AmCham community.

In her welcoming address to the guests AmCham President Krassimira Chemishanska acknowledged the key events of the Chamber in the first half of the year 2017 – from top notch business forums to member featured events.

The U.S. Ambassador Eric Rubin praised once again the partnership with AmCham and elaborated on the importance and values of corporate social responsibility by mentioning the project Little heroes of America for Bulgaria Foundation. The project will provide design enhancements at Pirogov Children’s Hospital in Sofia.

Petar Ivanov greeted the audience and thanked the members who supported the party: Monbat, America for Bulgaria Foundation , BMW Bulgaria, Dundee Precious Metals, Garitage Park, AES Bulgaria, Amgen Bulgaria, BulPros Consulting, Cisco Systems Bulgaria, Coca-Cola Bulgaria, Emag  International , Ernst & Young (EY Bulgaria), Glorient Investment BG, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Bulgaria, Philip Morris Bulgaria, Telelink, United Bulgarian Bank, UniCredit Bulbank, McDonald’s, McCafe, Pain D’or, Kamenitza & Stella Artois, Brown-Forman Bulgaria with Jack Daniel’s, Force Delta, Orbit, and the host Sofia Tech Park.

Families, friends and partners came together once again to spend an unforgettable July 1st with delicious foods and beverages, colourful kids’ corner, all accompanied by brilliant music by the singer Albena Taneva and Mastilo Band.
