AmCham-BCAF Volunteer Days: "Professionals at School", Oct. 14-25
AmCham Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Charities Aid Foundation (BCAF) launched the Volunteer Days on October 12, 2013, the 6th year of the initiative with its 12th campaign at the National Museum of Military History.
The warm autumn day facilitated works on 13 projects that took place simultaneously in Sofia, Pleven and Stara Zagora, involving cleaning and improving the facilities of cultural, social, health institutions, natural parks, weeding, planting, painting, joining “creative workshops” to produce souvenirs and other items and helping at the animal rescue centers.
The information on the projects was provided at the opening by Elitsa Barakova, executive director BCAF and Valentin Georgiev, executive director AmCham Bulgaria at the opening at the Military Museum. The volunteers were welcomed by Kalina Hinkova, Director Public Relations at the museum.
“It has become a tradition for the companies to choose among projects and to actively participate in them throughout the year”, said Ms Barakova. In her words the open air activities help the team building spirit in the companies and that makes the human resources managers very happy.
All in all, 246 volunteers from the companies below registered for the initiative.
