AmCham Bulgaria launches a new exclusive format for its members. As its names suggests, in AmCham Leaders Connect the leaders of big companies will share experience, business acumen, and knowledge in a close-door event.

On November 26th, 2020 AmCham invites its members to the 1st edition on the topic Leadership in Times of Crisis to join Evelyne De Leersnyder, General Manager of Coca-Cola Bulgaria and Simeon Stoychev, VP of IT Operations of Progress in Bulgaria.

The Speakers

Evelyne De Leersnyder

Evelyne De Leersnyder is the General Manager of The Coca-Cola Company in Bulgaria since the beginning of February 2019. She has been working for the company since 2008 and has been able to strengthen her skills in various aspects of business, including technical, commercial and marketing.

Evelyne is key business partner of Juerg Andreas Burkhalter, the General Manager of Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, both being responsible for developing the long-term strategy of Coca-Cola in Bulgaria. Evelyne has an excellent system understanding, having worked with three bottling partners of The Coca-Cola Company around the globe – Coca-Cola European Partners, Carlsberg and Coca-Cola Hellenic while working in Belgium, Denmark, Iceland and Austria.

Evelyne holds a master’s degree in Food Chemistry Engineer and a MBA from INSEAD, France – one of the leading European business universities in Europe. Before joining The Coca-Cola Company, Evelyne worked for 3 years for Bain & Company, a consulting company working with projects in the FMCG sector.

Simeon Stoychev

Simeon Stoychev is a technology and business leader with 16+ years of global experience in startups, middle-sized companies and public corporations. His professional experience has been focused on driving business innovation and building highly scalable innovative technologies that create a unique user experience, improve business processes and lead to a competitive advantage. Prior to the Telerik acquisition from Progress, Simeon served as the Chief Information Officer at Telerik.

Simeon is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria. As part of the leadership team of the organization, he is focused on improving the overall business climate and investment environment in Bulgaria and encouraging the sharing of best practices across industries.

Simeon has an EMBA from Oxford University in the UK as well as specializations in “Strategy and Innovation” and “Management and Leadership” from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the US.
