AmCham organized its first for the year Meet New Members party on April 2, 2013 at the Kempinski Hotel Zografski, Silhouette Hall. More than 100 guests were welcomed by Solomon Passy, Chair of AmCham Membership Committee and CEO of the Atlantic Club Bulgaria.
Club 50 Plus was represented by its general manager Tom Higgins. It is an online social enterprise, which aims at fully empowering people 50 years of age and older in Bulgaria, who consist of more than 40% of the total population of the country (close to 3 million people). The project offers unique, flexible and innovative services that directly empower people fifty and over develop their creative abilities while at the same time helping them learn how to use internet technology to greatly improve their quality of life. Club 50 Plus’ business model is focused on long-term partnerships with large corporations, by establishing a win-win relationship that creates real and measurable value for our partners.
Nicola Yankov, managing partner of Expat Capital presented one of the largest independent investment and asset management companies in Bulgaria. The company was founded in 2006 and offers a broad range of asset management and financial advisory services and products. Expat Capital has a wholly-owned licensed asset management subsidiary, Expat Asset Management, with several mutual funds and lots of individual investment accounts. Expat Capital is also a managing company of Expat Beta REIT – a real estate investment trust, focused on high-quality distressed assets.
Dominic Hamers, the managing director of Geotechmin Group elaborated on the company activities. The Group consists of 21 companies with a total work force of 4,200 employees in mining, construction, infrastructure, environment, real estate and investment projects and trade. Geotechmin OOD was established in 1990. It successfully operates Ellatzite mine – one of the biggest open-pit copper-gold mines in Bulgaria. Rich experience in project implementation under condition of ongoing production, considerable human and technical resources, good reputation and partnerships with many companies, financial stability – these are our main advantages.
Stoian Boev, managing director of InterConsult Bulgaria represented the leading Bulgarian software and consulting provider with more than 16 years of market presence. The company is specialized in business process management, which includes optimization, process based software implementation, and IT consulting; software development and is utilizing Microsoft platforms.
Izabela Dzhalazova, manager of RSM BX Ltd. said that the company is doing audit & assurance services; management consulting, financial advisory & taxation services; accounting, payroll & HR services.
