Dear AmCham Members and Partners,

We would like to invite you to join us in continuing doing good together this year as well!

We look forward to helping fellow members of our society who didn’t have much fortune – disadvantaged students with excellent grades and women victims of domestic violence for a brighter future.

Last year we managed to reach our highest goal so far – 73,115.86 Euro / BGN 143,000. And we couldn’t have done this without your support!

The question is, can we go even further beyond in 2026?

Stay tuned and keep reading our Weekly bulletins – more information is yet to be announced!

Keeping the traditions alive, AmCham Bulgaria celebrates Thanksgiving for three decades with a Charity Dinner. This is the event we create with passion, care, and aiming to have lasting memories for our more than 300 guests, for our partners, and for the causes we support. We have pumpkins and turkey on the tables with an exquisite decoration, combined with delicate wine and fascinating atmosphere and entertainment.

This Fall, again, we are addressing our great community to collect funds to help less fortunate and disadvantaged people. Together, we should change their lives for better.

Thanksgiving Celebration at AmCham Bulgaria embraced the notion of doing good since 2013. It followed series of CSR activities initiated by the members, such as the famous Volunteer Days. Our partners have always been BCause Foundation (Charity Aid Foundation as we have known it for its first 20 years of work). These numbers show consistency and passion to help those in need.

For a consecutive year, we will support two programs managed by our member BCause Foundation: “Get Ready to Succeed” and “Support Women Victims of Domestic Violence”. AmCham and its members are among the long-lasting contributors to both programs.

Get Ready to Succeed Fund

Get Ready to Succeed is a scholarship program, founded by BCause Foundation, supporting excelling students who have lost one or both their parents and have been raised in institutions or by relatives. The scholarships are awarded based on academic merit.

The AmCham members are generous and long-term contributors to the program, not only with their financial support but also in providing them with opportunities for internships and career options.

Women’s Fund

The Fund to Support Women Victims of Domestic Violence by BCause Foundation is targeted at organizations that provide legal, psychological, and social consultations and support crisis accommodation centers.

The types of activities to be supported are:

  • Psychological and social counseling, mediation in contact with other institutions, counseling with lawyers and lawsuits under the Law on Protection from Domestic Violence, and Hotline for Victims.
  • Mobile work with open reception in small settlements, so that women from the most remote villages can gain access to support in a situation of violence.
  • Grants are distributed through competitions among organizations working in the field.
  • Food, including baby food, medicines, clothes, shoes, and accommodation.
  • Professional courses in manicure, pedicure, hairdressing, and waitresses. The fund is powered by corporate and private donations.
  • Medical care – a large part of the injured are uninsured and have no income to pay for a medical examination and a medical certificate
