Brexit And The Future Of Global Trade
Date(s) - 25/10/2018
4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Grand Hotel Sofia
The British Bulgarian Business Association, the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham), and The Business for Plovdiv are pleased to invite you to the Brexit and the Future of Global Trade Conference in Sofia.
2018 is expected to mark critical decisions on the future of global trade. The next EU summit is scheduled for October 18-19, 2018, and by this point the plans for a future trade relationship between the EU and the UK need to be announced and approved by the EU Council if there is to be an amicable settlement. Alternatively, we face the prospect of a ‘hard Brexit’ and in the UK contingency plans are being developed for this scenario.
Trade could be further complicated by the recent change in US trade relationships worldwide which potentially will have a greater impact than Brexit in Europe, as well as causing a fundamental shift in international trade relations with traditional suppliers to the US seeking new markets elsewhere.
