The Blue Dot Network (BDN) is a voluntary, private-sector-focused and internationally-supported mechanism to certify quality and sustainable infrastructure projects that meet robust global standards and attract sustainable financing. This session will introduce the BDN mechanism, including its reporting and labeling standards, and discuss how it can be leveraged to attract financing for quality public infrastructure projects in Bulgaria.

14:10 – 14:55 Discussion 2 | The Role of the Blue Dot Network in Enhancing Collective Action Initiatives

The Blue Dot Network acts as a collective multi-stakeholder platform that can help private and state interested parties ensure that their considerations are taken into account and infrastructure projects are environmentally and socially sustainable, resilient, inclusive, open and transparent, and economically efficient.

This session will discuss how the BDN can complement the implementation of other Collective Action initiatives in Bulgaria, including the High-Level Reporting Mechanism (HLRM), in order to increase trust between stakeholders and improve investment in, and the sustainability of, strategically important infrastructure priorities.
