Perelik Infrastructure Company and Mr. Kiril Asenov in cooperation with AmCham Bulgaria, have the pleasure to invite you to Perelik Eco Jazz Festival “THE SOUND OF SILENCE” – July 26, 2014, 8:00 p.m. The Festival will be held for the ninth consecutive year and it’s unique with its environmental focus and combines the idea of improvisation and creativity with the environmental protection as its core value. The event takes place at 2191 meters above sea level at the foot of the Perelik Peak in the Rhodope Mountains on the stage of the “Bear’s House”.
This year, honorary guest of the Festival is one of the best violin players in the world now -Vesko Eschkenazy – soloist and concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Since the summer of 2000 Vesko Eschkenazy has been playing a Guarneri del Gesu violin from 1738, the property of an anonymous sponsor in The Netherlands.
Jazz line of the Festival presents Paolo Di Sabatino Trio, Italy – famous Italian pianists, who has played and recorded with such renowned musicians as John Patitucci, Bob Mintzer, Billy Cobham, John Abercrombie, Peter Erkine, Dave Samuels, Enrico Rava, and many other and for first time on Bulgarian stage – Kuba Stankewich Trio – famous Polish pianist and composer, winner of the Oscar Peterson Award and a semifinalist in The Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition in Washington, DC.
The unique voice and energy of Zhana Bergnedorff (Winner of X factor – Bulgaria 2014) will fascinate the audience on the stage under the stars of Perelik Peak.
Famous Bulgarian pipers and Serbian Brass Orchestra Barka brings ethno atmosphere of the Festival.
