The third year of the ESG Committee for 2024 will discuss key aspects for the supply chain reporting, environment protection and human rights within the EU and globally. It will address important questions such as: “How do companies incorporate their suppliers into their ESG initiatives?”, “What are the regulations and resulting obligations? How is supply chain sustainability monitored?”, and many more.

Dear AmCham Bulgaria members,

You are cordially invited to the 3rd meeting of AmCham Bulgaria ESG Committee, entitled:

Strategic Supply Chain Reporting:
Navigating Transparency, Compliance and Sustainability Practices

The meeting is hosted by Acronis, at their office NV Tower, 59, G.M. Dimitrov Blvd., Fl.11.

Meeting Outline

When a large company establishes ESG objectives, it impacts all entities involved in its direct and indirect operations. To be integrated into the supply chain of a multinational enterprise, businesses must be prepared to fulfill numerous requirements and commitments. While price and product quality remain crucial considerations, sustainability factors now play a significant role in supplier selection processes. These include evaluating the supplier’s carbon footprint, overall environmental performance, management of human resources and working conditions, adherence to human rights principles, traceability of raw materials, and more.

The presentation and the discussion will focus on the following aspects:

  • Transparency in Supply Chain Reporting – what you should implement in order to be part of the global supply chain and to works with multinational companies?
  • Sustainable practices and reporting strategies aligned with industry trends and legal requirements.
  • Navigating Compliance with CSDDD: the game-changing Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and its implications for businesses. How CSDDD aims to enhance environmental and human rights protection both within the EU and on a global scale?
  • Choosing the Right Reporting Platform, ratings and evaluation by multinational partners: Ecovadis, CDP, and More for Global Supply Chain Expectations
