The America for Bulgaria Foundation (ABF) is an independent, nonpartisan, nonpolitical American grant-making organization. We began work in 2009, but our connection to Bulgaria dates to the democratic changes of 1989. ABF is the successor to the Bulgarian-American Enterprise Fund, which helped create thousands of jobs from 1992 to 2008 by supporting Bulgarian entrepreneurs and small/medium-sized enterprises.

Building on this legacy, ABF works with Bulgarians to support the private sector and related democratic institutions.
